Vaporwave visual aesthetic
Also called Vaporwave aesthetic
Vaporwave developed alongside online electronic music, treating old advertising, commercial spaces and digital media as reusable memory. Statues, obsolete desktops and faded pastel imagery often meet in collages, with slowed rhythms, repetition and displacement creating a mood that is simultaneously nostalgic and detached.
