Also called Voxel artwork
Voxel art organizes space into volumetric units, building characters, architecture and landscapes in a way that resembles stacking blocks. While a voxel is a sample of volume, artworks often expose it as a small cube, creating a three-dimensional cousin of pixel art. Unit size, color and lighting shape its toy-like, architectural or sculptural character.

Voxel Art constructs objects from volume units in a 3D grid; Low-poly 3D constructs object surfaces with relatively few polygon faces. Low polygon counts need not look cubic, and voxel appearance does not imply few polygons.
Voxel Art builds objects from volume units in 3D space; Pixel Art builds contours and palette steps from pixel clusters on a 2D grid. Pixels are image units; voxels are volume units.
